My Approach

I have trained in various effective, evidence-based models, and over the years have gravitated towards using EMDR, Flash and Ego State therapy (parts work) as my main, preferred treatment modalities. In addition, due to my own experience with a daily meditation practice these past years, I have come to feel passionate about integrating therapy with meditation.

I am trained in Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness and follow the research that is  available on Mindfulness and Open focus meditation. These two forms of meditation have been shown to improve our mental and physical health, reduce stress, and increase our ability to sit with painful emotions. In addition, meditation can be used as a way to mentally rehearse our new ways of thinking and acting, as we work toward change in therapy. My aim is to help people adopt and integrate meditation and therapy skills into their daily lives, so that anyone can become self-sufficient in managing their mental health.
